Current Proposals
The re-development of the historic Weston-super-Mare Rugby Football Club; providing state of the art facilities alongside a vibrant mix of residential and commercial space.
Studio Hive and Atlas Land are working together with Weston Super Mare Rugby Football Club to realise the potential of the land surrounding the club pitch.
Architecture by Studio HIve have been commissioned to prepare the design for this proposal. The club re-development includes the provision of state of the art facilities; a new clubhouse serving all members which will include function and meeting rooms, a cafe opening onto the rec and a new grandstand overlooking the first team pitch. The clubhouse will also include a gym and physio facilities.
Further, a new suite of changing rooms will be provided for club and public use.
Additionally, 182 apartments will be provided whilst the site will also be home to the new Weston Central Health Centre, replacing the Graham Road GP Surgery.

Meeting rooms, gym and physio facilities
A Health Centre including Pharmacy replacing the Graham Road GP (circa 36,000 sq.ft / 3,345 sq.m)

Ground floor commercial space with potential for a variety of uses; nursery space with outdoor area, gym, convenience store (8,000 sq.ft (750 sq.m) in total)

Why Weston Super Mare Rugby Football Club?
WSM RFC’s Vision is to invest in the Club and its existing facilities to provide an enhanced player and spectator experience, as well as realise their full potential as a club, with a long history and a vital community role in Weston-super-Mare. In addition, the club wish to provide a platform that provides a long-term sustainable future to enable it to fulfill this commitment in perpetuity.
Location and Connectivity:
WSM RFC is ideally located near the centre of Weston-Super-Mare; with the town train station only 200m away with good accessibility to the M5. Furthermore, Weston-Super-Mare is an incredibly vibrant, growing town community perfectly situated in the southwest region.
